Rangers International FC of Enugu press into the second round of the 2017 CAF Champions League after drawing 0-0 at home to JS Saoura of Algeria, advancing on the away goals rule following a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
The flying antelope played a goalless draw against the hard fighting JS Saoura of Algeria at the Nnamdia Azikiwe Stadium in the second leg game.The goalless draw was what Rangers FC needed to progress to the round while the North African club; JS Saouraneeded to have scored one goal to qualify for the next round.
Star striker bobby clement created several impressive chances which could not be converted to goals.Rangers will face former champions’ Zamalek in the first round to negotiate their way to the group stage of the competition.
The Governor of Enugu State was present to help cheer the club to victory.
