Yesterday Tuesday a Ghanaian who reside in Anambra State identified as Andem was shot by an Officer in the neck and rushed to the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital in Awka by sympathizers and onlookers.
Until his death, Andem owned an electrical appliance shop at the Aroma area of the state capital Akwa, where he works as an electrician.
He, however met his untimely death yesterday after a yet-to-be identified officer officer of the state police command begin to shoot sporadically in the area.
Resident of the Area complained that the Officer behaves the same way any time he visits the area and he is drunk. Eyewitness said that the doctors confirmed Adem dead on arrival to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the police is yet to make a statement as the Police Public Relation Officer, PPRO, Nkeiruka Nwode, when contacted said the command was not aware of the murder.
